The Corporate Responsibility (CR) department is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s CR agenda and initiatives by crafting goals, policies and initiatives that align with and support the firm’s business strategies and operational objectives in the communities that we serve.  JPMorgan Chase annually invests more than $250 million to create pathways to opportunity so that individuals have access to the knowledge, skills, resources, and capital they need to secure their futures and compete in the global economy. The CR department is comprised of Global Government Relations, Global Philanthropy, Office of Nonprofit Engagement, Sustainable Finance, Public Affairs and the JPMorgan Chase Institute.

The Executive Assistant role is based in Washington, DC, and will support the Head of Strategic Initiatives, Mid-Atlantic Region, in all administrative tasks and other projects as required.  Day-to-day responsibilities include: management of all aspects of the calendar and daily schedule; booking travel; processing expense statements; answering phones; and administrative activities to support the work of the team. The Executive Assistant will also support up to two additional CR senior executives, and may be asked to provide temporary on-site support as needed with other senior executives on the CR team.

This individual will need to work well in a team environment, be able to represent the manager/group with professional courtesy and acumen, and deliver flawless work output.  The duties and administrative functions will require confidentiality, initiative, sound decision-making, independent judgment and the ability to escalate serious or unique problems to higher levels.  The Executive Assistant must be capable of making a substantial and valuable impact to the firm.

Responsibilities Include:
• Management of an extensive and complex calendar in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Schedule internal and external meetings; adjustment and prioritization of last-minute changes including logistics such as conference rooms, events, and catering
• Prepare logistics for meetings, including printing of materials, maintenance of calendar invites, greeting guests, and preparing technology
• Gather and compile briefing and logistical materials for various types of meetings (in terms of frequency, level of seniority, level of detail, etc.)
• Screen incoming calls to determine the level of priority while using caution in dispensing information
• Respond and follow up on calls, emails and other inquiries on managers’ behalf
• Arrange and maintain travel plans and itineraries for both international and domestic travel
• Reconcile and complete expense reports, working with other administrative staff
• Close coordination with CR teams based in Washington, D.C.

• Minimum 3 years administrative experience or other senior level support role (with high level ED or MD/SVP or equivalent) preferably government, political or nonprofit experience.
• Proven PC skills, highly proficient in web and database management and all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of the following systems is a plus: Concur, ePurchase, and Travel Express.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and flexible.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, work well individually and in teams, share information, and support colleagues.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent telephone skills (i.e., takes accurate and complete messages).
