Advisor for Congressional Affairs

The Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C., is seeking a qualified candidate for a permanent position (full-time) as Advisor for Congressional Affairs beginning in January 2019. The objective of the position is to liaise with and to manage affairs concerning the U.S. Congress. The candidate will have a dynamic and outgoing personality, is very well-connected on the Hill and has at least 3 years of work experience in the U.S. Congress, either on the staff of a Member or on a committee.

Congressional Fellow

Under the direction of the Director of Congressional Affairs and Communications, the position will include duties split roughly 50/50 between Congressional Affairs and Research and Analysis. Responsibilities include executing congressional outreach, development of outreach strategies, research and analysis of developments in the U.S.-China relationship, and research and analysis of legislation (both pending and enacted) relevant to the Commission’s mandate.
